March 1, 2012 7:00 AM | News

The Manitoba Liberals are hosting a forum today to draw attention to the shortage of clean drinking water on First Nations in the province.

The “Bringing Running Water to First Nations” forum will include representation by Brennan Manoakeesick from MKO and Ed Wood of the Island Lake Tribal Council, as well as Liberal leader Jon Gerrard.

An Island Lake community member will also share their first-hand perspective of living with no running water.

The forum is set for Conference Room 2M70 on the second floor of Manitoba Hall at the University of Winnipeg from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
