Friday’s fresh dumping of snow has made skiing conditions in southern Manitoba ideal for winter enthusiasts.
A self-guided cross-country ski tour of the Pine Point Rapids has been organized for today in Whiteshell Provincial Park.
The groomed trail will take skiers along the rapids and through the boreal forest.
A warmup shelter will greet skiers at the rapids, where the five kilometre trek will begin. Hot chocolate and roaster marshmallows will be available.
The ski and hike runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
