Hockey teams from across Manitoba are getting set to compete in the 2012 Milk Provincial AAAA High School Hockey Championships on Friday.

The three-day tournament (March 9, 10 and 12) will be held at the Eric Coy Arena in Charleswood. The format this year will be a little different, with a four-team round robin event.

Competing schools include the St. Paul’s Crusaders — who won the Winnipeg High School Hockey League — the Crocus Plains Plainsman of Brandon, Oak Park Raiders (defending champions) and a wild card which will feature the Kelvin Clippers and the Portage Trojans. The wildcard game will be played on Wednesday evening.

The four-team event will run Friday and Saturday. The first place winner will advance to the final while second and third place will play off Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Championship Final takes place Monday March 12 at 8 p.m.
