City Plowing Curb Lanes to Open Drains as Temperatures Rise

March 8, 2012 3:15 PM | News

City plows are currently out clearing curb lanes on bus routes and collector streets to help ease the flow of snow-melt and expose curb inlets and catch basins.

The plowing operation comes as the temperature is expected to rise in the coming days.

On the weekend, thawing crews will be out to open curb inlets, catch basins, and culverts across the city. Crews are also engaged in removing snow and ice accumulations and debris from city ditches to aid the water runoff.

Residents affected by water accumulation caused by frozen catch basins and culverts are asked to call 311.
