Manitoba is sending 11 musical acts to Canadian Music Week (CMW) in Toronto this year.
The country’s biggest music industry festival will showcase homegrown talent including rock poet John K. Samson, pop/rock outfits Royal Canoe, Mise En Scene, Federal Lights, Take Me To The Pilot, and Floor Thirteen, roots rocker James Cohen, metal band Waster, hip hop acts The Lytics and Abstract Artform, and acoustic pop singer/songwriter JP Hoe.
Besides the music festival, the annual event includes a conference, trade show, and multiple awards shows. This year, several Manitoba’s artists, music companies, and radio stations are nominated at three separate awards events.
Canadian Music Week runs March 21-25.
