Living Prairie Museum
While spring is a few days off, the spring-like weather has certainly arrived early, which has those with a green thumb eager to get into their garden.
The Living Prairie Museum is offering Native Prairie Planting Workshops starting next Tuesday (the first official day of spring). The workshops will be led by John Morgan of Prairie Habitats, who will teach everything you need to know about native prairie plants and how they can be included in your home or cottage landscape design.
The workshops run the following days:
Tuesday, March 20 — 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 4 — 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 15 — 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, April 26 — 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 5 — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registration is $45 plus GST and includes all seeds and materials ($35 with Friends of Living Prairie Museum membership). To register, call (204) 832-0167 or e-mail prairie@winnipeg.ca.
