Food Drive Donations Add Up for Winnipeg Harvest

Students from 75 Manitoba schools raised a total of 43,232 pounds of food for Winnipeg Harvest.

The successful weigh-in on Tuesday was the result of the 13th Annual Operation Donation school food drive, which had donations matched by Peak of the Market and Canada Safeway.

Food was collected over the past several months at Manitoba schools and Manitoba Public Insurance offices, which raised an additional 12,312 pounds.

The grand total after being matched by Winnipeg Harvest’s partners was 166,635 pounds of food.
