The grand prize winner in the University of Manitoba’s Define Your Future contest will be chosen today.

The unique contest asked individuals to define who they are by submitting a one-minute video on whether they’re a visionary, trailblazer or a rebel.

The winner will choose from one of three top prizes, including a trip to Canada’s Arctic to see climate change first-hand, a trip to Ottawa or New York with human rights advocates, or a journey to India to explore public health projects.

Ten finalists will be revealed today at noon in University Centre on the U of M’s Fort Garry campus.

Secondary prizes include spending a day with a local business leader, an on-set film experience with Guy Maddin, private house concert with the Marcel A. Desautels Faculty of Music, tickets to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers season opener at the new stadium, and a student prize package, including an iPad, gym membership and books.

UPDATE: Congratulations to grand prize winner Nicole Wruth.
