An institution on the Winnipeg ice cream scene will officially open for the season today.
The Bridge Drive-In, or simply BDI as it’s known, will begin serving up shakes, floats and its array of ice cream flavours beginning at noon.
Cross-town rival Sargent Sundae has been operating for a few weeks already, much to the delight of Winnipeg residents who wanted to get an early jump on the feeling of spring.
BDI, located at 766 Jubilee Avenue, opened up at around the same time last year on March 26.
