Leonard Cohen will be honoured this weekend by Winnipeg jazz artist Anna-Lisa Kirby, who will cover some of Cohen’s iconic songs.
Kirby has long been delivering powerful performances of “Hallelujah” and “Bird on a Wire,” two of Cohen’s signature hits. Last year, she performed a full concert of Cohen’s work to a packed house at the inaugural Tarbut Festival of Jewish Culture.
Kirby will perform on Saturday, March 31 at the Park Theatre. Tickets are $25 in advance online at JazzWinnipeg, by phone at (204) 989-4656, or at the Jazz Winnipeg office, 007-100 Arthur Street. Tickets can also be purchased at the theatre, 698 Osborne Street.
