The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ has unveiled two mobile patrol cars as part of a partnership with Impark.
In a release, the BIZ said the initiative will enhance downtown safety in the evenings.
“The BIZ and Impark partnership is an example of the business community working together to improve downtown safety,” said Stefano Grande, executive director of the BIZ. “Whether it’s a large event at a hotel or restaurant, a sold-out show or Jets game at the MTS Centre, you can expect a greater presence of our Watch downtown, which will provide an extra sense of safety.”
The cost of the two cars are being shared by the BIZ and Impark.
