A campaign to support Manitobans living with disabilities was launched Thursday by Special Olympics Manitoba and Easter Seals Manitoba.
The month-long fundraiser will run throughout April at all Canada Safeway stores in the province. Customers who donate will be helping the two charities as they support Manitobans faced with the daily challenges of living with a disability.
Local celebrities Obby Khan, Doug Speirs, Eva Kovacs and Adam West, to name a few, came out on Thursday to the Osborne Village Safeway to decorate aprons and help bring awareness to a fundraising campaign.
Donations can also be made at specialolympics.mb.ca and SMD.mb.ca.
