Ever wanted to go backstage at the Manitoba Opera? They’re running tours.

The public can get an inside look behind-the-scenes at the Centennial Concert Hall on Sunday, April 22.

The free tour is the main feature of Manitoba Opera’s biennial Open House. Visitors will find out how opera is brought to life and get a comprehensive look at the company’s production of “The Daughter of the Regiment.” Attendees can also see the orchestra pit, go on stage and in the wings. Tours of preparation stations, such as hair and makeup, costumes, props, staging, and the rehearsal process will also be given.

The hour-long tours run every 20 minutes beginning at noon, with the last tour leaving at 4 p.m.

To book a free reservation, call Braden Alexander at (204) 942-7470 or e-mail balexander@manitobaopera.mb.ca.
