Nineteen cities across Canada will be celebrating National Pasta Day on Saturday, including right here in Winnipeg.
For $5, the public can dine on a plate of spaghetti with their choice of meat or vegetarian sauce and a bread stick at The Forks.
Local chefs will be serving up the delicious food, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to Winnipeg Harvest.
“Once again, some of the city’s best Chefs will serve up plates of pasta to help raise funds for Winnipeg Harvest and the CCFCC National,” said Brent Prockert, president of the Winnipeg Chapter of the Canadian Culinary Federation.”
The pasta lunch will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until the pasta runs out.
