A big Easter weekend feast will be served up to the city’s homeless today at Siloam Mission.
About 60 members of the Manitoba Real Estate Association will help prepare and serve the dinner this afternoon.
Winnipeg’s busiest homeless shelter is expecting about 500-700 people to attend. Once there, guests will also share in the Easter atmosphere, as realtor members have decorated Siloam’s drop-in centre to look festive for the holiday.
The meal will be served up to inner-city guests between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
The Manitoba Real Estate Association is also providing all of the food for the dinner.
