An expert in environmental engineering will share insights into his groundbreaking research on the way wastewater treatment plants are designed around the globe, including here in Winnipeg, during a public lecture at the University of Manitoba on Thursday.

Jan Oleszkiewicz has developed technology that could potentially save industry and municipalities tens of millions of dollars. He will be speaking about how his research is applied to real-world problems at a lecture titled “Cleaning up the Mess: Managing Waste.”

The lecture from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. will be held in the Robert B. Schultz Lecture Theatre at St. John’s College on the U of M’s Fort Garry campus.
