Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad (MARC EVANS / CHRISD.CA FILE)
The Winnipeg Police Association will kick off its fundraiser today leading up to the 2012 Motorcycle Ride for Dad.
The annual event will be held May 26 this year and is a Canada-wide fundraiser for prostate cancer research and awareness. Motorcycle enthusiasts, community members and local police will come together in support of the cause and to help raise awareness in Manitoba.
The Manitoba chapter of the ride will begin at 10 a.m. at Earls Polo Park.
Organizers will launch fundraising efforts this morning during a media event at McPhillips Station Casino.
