A social media contest has landed a cheque for $5,000 in the hands of the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation.
The prize comes from the Dufresne $1 Million Charity Challenge Bonus, which pledged $1 for every Facebook “like” its page received, up to $5,000 per chosen charity. Facebook users then had the opportunity to vote for their favourite charity from the list of 51 Charity Challenge recipients.
The foundation will use the funds to continue working to increase awareness of the charity and its mission to help Manitoba’s children living with special needs and disabilities.
