Round up your old car batteries, tires and motor oil — it’s time to recycle them.

In honour of Earth Day on Sunday, CAA Manitoba is hosting a free roundup at Fort Whyte Alive to collect such items. CAA will also have their new electric vehicles on display to promote going green.

The automotive club will also be providing free on-site battery and eco tests, $5 off coupons for oil changes, and $2 off gas at Husky/Mohawk.

On Saturday, prior to Earth Day, roundups will be held at the following service centres: 870 Empress Street, 2211 McPhillips Street and 501 St. Anne’s Road. Brandon’s service centre at 305 — 18th Street N. will also host a roundup.

The depots will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
