The University of Winnipeg Wesmen baseball team returns home this weekend to host the Dakota College at Bottineau Lumberjacks. (HANDOUT)

After being rained out last weekend, the University of Winnipeg Wesmen baseball team will try to host their home opener again on Saturday. The bad news is that Environment Canada is calling for showers tomorrow.

If the rain holds off, the Wesmen will play the Moorhead State Dragons at Shaw Park.

A doubleheader will be played with the first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. U of W president and vice-chancellor Lloyd Axworthy will throw out the opening pitch.

Baseball season and individual game tickets can be purchased at the park. Season tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for students 17 and under, and free for children under three. Individual tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students.

Gates will open at noon.
