A new festival in Winnipeg this August will attract music lovers and foodies from across North America.
Details of the Winnipeg BBQ and Blues Festival will be released Monday during a news conference at the Winnipeg Free Press News Café.
The “red-hot weekend,” as it’s being promoted, will be held at Red River Exhibition Park August 17-19.
There will be $10,000 in cash prizes up for grabs, as amateurs and professionals compete in the Grand Championship Pit Masters event.
Kevin Walters, the former executive director of Manitoba Homecoming 2010, is a managing partner for the new festival.
