The University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Medicine will receive funding for a maternal, newborn and child health program developed by the Centre for Global Public Health (CGPH).
The funding announcement this morning will come from the Canadian International Development Agency, the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, and the U of M.
The funding will be used to create programming that addresses issues in health service delivery, nutrition, and prevention of diseases that kill mothers and their children around the world.
The Faculty of Medicine is located on the university’s downtown Bannatyne Campus.
