The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ has created a bursary at the University of Winnipeg in honour of its past chair and U of W alumni Kevin Donnelly.
The Downtown BIZ Kevin Donnelly Bursary in Business and Economics will be awarded annually to a deserving business student and who is also a member of the Business Administration Students’ Association (BASA).
The bursary recognizes the importance of young entrepreneurs in the fields of business and economics, growth and revitalization of the downtown. The idea came about by two UWinnipeg alumni — BIZ executive director Stefano Grande and BIZ public relations coordinator Jason Syvixay.
Applications for the bursary will be accepted until September 15, 2012.
