Saturday will mark a National Day of Mourning for workers killed or injured on the job, as the Canadian Labour Congress organizes events country-wide, including in Winnipeg.

Members will take part in the leaders’ walk at 11:45 a.m. this morning, departing from Union Centre at 275 Broadway. Then on Saturday, a candlelight service is planned for Room 2C in the Union Centre to mark the official day.

The CLC represents 3.3 million Canadian workers.
