A 58-year-old man is in police custody after barricading himself inside a residence in the city’s Harbourview South neighbourhood Thursday night.

Winnipeg police responded to Williamson Crescent at about 7:30 p.m. to deal with a threat call, along with crisis negotiators, the tactical support team and canine unit.

The man surrendered to police at approximately 11:20 p.m. without incident. No injuries were reported.

Williamson Crescent was closed to traffic, as well as Grassie Boulevard east of Lagimodiere Boulevard and Pearn Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing.
