Astronaut Major Jeremy Hansen (CANADIAN SPACE AGENCY)
Winnipeg students dreaming of one day becoming an astronaut will have the chance to ask questions of a real one this week.
Astronaut Major Jeremy Hansen of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will speak to 250 Grade 6 and 9 students at the Manitoba Museum on Tuesday about what it takes to enter his line of work. Hansen will deliver the same presentation later in the day to Grade 8 and 9 students at Shaftesbury High School.
Hansen will wrap up his Winnipeg stop at the Louis Riel Arts and Tech Centre Tuesday evening when he addresses 100 cadets of the 176 Boeing of Canada Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron. Hansen will share how a career in the Royal Canadian Force led him to become an astronaut.
