For the second time in a week, firefighters were called to The Forks again to put out burning docks.
The remains of nine burnt docks and five damaged ones from last week’s fire were relit shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
Winnipeg police closed Main Street at the Norwood Bridge between Marion Street and Broadway Avenue.
Plumes of black smoke could be seen as far away as Headingley.
A similar fire last week caused an estimated $30,000 in damage.

UPDATE: Tuesday, May 1 — Damage is estimated at $40,000. The arson unit is investigating.
