Winnipeg Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Rollover

April 30, 2012 11:53 AM | News

Speed is considered a factor in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend that killed a 28-year-old Winnipeg man.

RCMP say a 2012 Kia was travelling westbound on Highway 68 at about 11 p.m. on Saturday when it left the road, rolled at least once and landed in a ditch.

The crash happened about 1.5 kilometres east of Lake Manitoba Narrows.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the 36-year-old male passenger was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Both men were believed to be wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

No names have been released and police continue to investigate.
