Inner-city youth will be engaged in science and environment issues on Friday as the University of Manitoba launches its Let’s Talk Science program.
The award-winning program provides hands-on activities to improve the understanding of physical and life science, mathematics and technology.
The program will begin with the All Science Challenge at the Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex. The challenge is an opportunity for inner-city students that have a passion for science to compete in a one-day tournament focused completely on science.
The morning will consist of Jeopardy-styled mini-competitions, with a hands-on component in a design challenge in the afternoon.
Pre-registration is required.
