Baseball fans will get a look at this year’s Winnipeg Goldeyes at the annual open house on Saturday.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., fans can visit Shaw Park to see their team in action on the first day of training camp. Players will be on the field and fans can watch for free as they perform batting, pitching and in/outfield drills.
“This is the annual unofficial start to the season and we look forward seeing our fans back at Shaw Park,” Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier said.
Goldeyes prize packages will be drawn every hour throughout the day and the first 1,500 people to arrive at the ballpark will receive a free hotdog and Pepsi pop. Free behind-the-scenes tours of the concourse, press boxes, dugouts and Goldeyes clubhouse will also be available.
Fans that have purchased mini packs can pick them up in person between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Shaw Park ticket office.
