The Winnipeg Goldeyes have added right-handed pitcher Dustin Northcott and left-handed pitcher Anthony Friesen to the training camp roster.
Both non-roster Canadians, Northcott, 23, returns to North America after pitching in the Victoria Summer League in Australia with the Weribee Giants. He went 4-12 with a 4.22 ERA in 31 games and 121.6 innings pitched. Friesen, 22, has played the last two seasons at Minot State. A native of Somerset, Manitoba, Friesen was the Manitoba High School Athletic Association Top Pitcher in 2007 and was the MVP and Top Pitcher at the Canadian Junior Nationals in 2010 as he helped Manitoba win the national championship.
The Goldeyes now have 26 players participating in training camp, including 13 pitchers and 13 position players.
