Drop-Off Sites Offer Safe Way to Dispose of Old Meds

Seniors will have a safe way to dispose of old or no longer needed medication on Wednesday when the first of two community disposal events take place.

Operation Medicine Cabinet is being put on by Home Instead Senior Care in partnership with Tache Pharmacy.

To avoid a health hazard, medication can be safely disposed of in an eco-friendly way at the St. James Assiniboia 55+ Club, 203 Duffield Street, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow. A pharmacist will be on site to answer any questions.

A second disposal event will run from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 24 at the Good Neighbours Active Living Centre, 720 Henderson Highway.
