Geese enjoy themselves at the St. Vital Park duck pond on Wednesday under bright skies. It's a sunglasses and hat kind of day today as well. Or a call-in-sick-to-work day if what Environment Canada is forecasting comes true. Winnipeg will be blessed with plenty of sun and a balmy high of 27°C. It might also be a good idea to slap on some sunscreen, as the UV index will be 7 or higher. The only thing that could dampen that (literally) is the chance of thundershowers later in the evening. The heat will be short-lived, unfortunately, with Friday only getting up to 16°C.
