St. James Railway Crossing to Close Tonight

A railway crossing reconstruction project will detour traffic beginning this evening on St. James Street.

At 7 p.m., city crews will close St. James at the Saskatchewan Avenue crossing to northbound and southbound traffic. The route will reopen Monday, May 14 at 6 a.m.

Local traffic will continue to have access to St. James Street at Dublin Avenue during the reconstruction.

Winnipeg Transit will re-route 77 Crosstown North bus service via St. James, Saskatchewan, Route 90, Dublin and St. James in both directions during the closure.
