The University of Manitoba is inviting the public out on Saturday for Science Rendezvous 2012.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., free hands-on activities and demonstrations take place in the Engineering and Information Technology Complex on the U of M’s Fort Garry Campus.

Attendees will learn how to make their own slime, thermometer and candy DNA. There will also be a spaghetti bridge building contest

Science Rendezvous is designed to bring science and its practitioners face-to-face with the public. The program strives to encourage a public understanding that science affects their daily lives and that it is a worthy educational and career path for our youth.
