The Kansas City Barbeque Society will be teaching a course to grilling enthusiasts today at Red River Exhibition Park.
Fifty local barbeque buffs have registered for the half-day course to become a Certified Barbeque Judge (CBJ) for the upcoming Winnipeg BBQ and Blues Festival in August.
Students will learn how to grade world-class barbequed chicken, pulled pork, ribs and brisket, while tasting them in the process.
The KCBS sanctions more than 400 barbeque contests and judging classes annually.
