The Red River Co-op Speedway just south of Winnipeg is getting ready to kick off its 30th season.
The inaugural Parade of Champions is set for Thursday, May 24, as cars and stars of the speedway are paraded around the track.
Two racing series compete during the season — the Pure Stock Series on Monday nights, and the Pro Racing Series on Thursdays nights.
Opening night will include a special guest appearance by Winnipeg Blue Bomber quarterback Buck Pierce.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with racing getting underway at 7:30 p.m.
