‘Queer Beer’ Making a Comeback at Pride Winnipeg Festival

To help celebrate this year’s Pride Winnipeg festival, organizers have teamed up with Half Pints again to bring back Queer Beer.

The brew was a success in 2011 and will be available at four MLCC Liquor Marts beginning May 22.

The public can attend the beer’s kickoff event at Half Pints’ brewery, 550 Roseberry Street, from 12-4 p.m. this Saturday. Samples will be offered at noon, with an optional brewery tour at 1 p.m.

Queer Beer will be sold at the River and Osborne, Portage and Burnell, Hargrave and Ellice, and Grant Park Liquor Marts locations. A portion of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to Pride Winnipeg, running May 25 to June 3.
