The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed three non-imports to their roster.
Defensive lineman Rob Jubenville, offensive lineman Jean-Sebastien Laberge and their 23rd overall pick in this year’s draft, linebacker Rene Stephan, will all suit up for the Blue and Gold.
Jubenville led the entire CIS in sacks last season after recording 10 in eight games, while also racking up 43 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles. The Oshawa, Ontario native was later named a second team All-Canadian.
Laberge started last year on the offensive line for the Vert et Or in Quebec and helped the team to a 7-2 record and an appearance in the playoffs.
Stephan was selected in the fourth round (23rd overall) in this year’s CFL Draft and attended Harding University after transferring from De Anza Junior College in 2009. A product of St. Catharine’s, Ontario, he recorded 145 total tackles between the two schools as well as 4.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss.
