The City of Winnipeg will begin spraying for cankerworms at 9:30 p.m. tonight in the Jefferson and Seven Oaks neighbourhoods, as well as in Kildonan Park.
Due to unfavourable weather on Monday, crews will be out this evening instead, weather permitting. Spraying will not occur if there is significant rainfall or winds are greater than 20 km/h.
Residents can register for a buffer zone to prevent Btk from being sprayed on their property by calling 311 or visiting Winnipeg.ca.
The city will also begin its gypsy moth control program on Wednesday — a day later than planned.
