Organizers of Culture Days are seeking both participants and volunteers for the three-day festival in September.
Culture Days is a collaborative coast-to-coast volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.
The first Culture Days was held in more than 700 Canadian cities in September 2010.
Individuals and groups can register online to join the movement and offer a free interactive arts or cultural activity during Culture Days. Organizers are asking artists, arts and cultural organizations, businesses, and other creative types to open their doors to the public during some aspect of an event that’s already going on (open rehearsal, discussion, tour, Q&A, etc.) or to plan something new.
Volunteers willing to help out can also sign up online or by calling (204) 942-8221.
Culture Days 2012 runs September 28, 29 and 30.
