The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ has beautified Portage Avenue for the season by installing 102 arranged flower baskets along the downtown street.
The flower baskets were in place this past weekend in time for the Pride Winnipeg festival.
“The Portage Avenue hanging flower baskets were designed this year to complement the changing flavour and spirit of our downtown,” said Stefano Grande, Downtown BIZ executive director. “These flower baskets help make our downtown a vibrant and exciting place to be, and works in tandem with events like Pride Festival in creating a dynamic and inviting urban core we’re proud of. We want people to feel welcome here at the heart of our city.”
The baskets were provided by Shelmerdine Garden Centre.
