Main Street in Niverville will transform for another year when the annual Niverville Old Tyme Country Fair begins Friday.
The two-day festival will include the traditional midway, petting zoo and car show.
Gates open Friday at 5:30 p.m., with a wakeboard rail jam and x-treme motocross demonstration set to begin at around 7:15 p.m.
Singer Maxine Peters will perform at 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m., while the Best of the British Invasions will take to the main stage at 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Fireworks will go off at 11 p.m., followed by a performance by Red to wrap up opening day.
Saturday begins with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. and a luncheon BBQ at 11 a.m.
Canadian country artist Dean Brody will end the night with a 9 p.m. performance.
Sagkeeng’s Finest — winners of “Canada’s Got Talent” are also on the Saturday schedule, along with the Asham Stompers.
