The Western Canada Aviation Museum plans to hold a Flyin’ Barbecue on June 16 at Lyncrest Airport.
The members-only event will include great food, airplanes and flying demonstrations (weather permitting).
Lyncrest Airport, 514 Murdock Road, is home to a private airfield that still includes grass runways as used in the 1920s, 30s and 40s.
The festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and be co-hosted by the Springfield Flying Club.
Anyone wishing to attend can still become a member of either club before the event.
