A popular Winnipeg bowling alley is shutting its doors for good on Sunday.
St. Vital Bowl at the southwest corner of St. Anne’s Road and Bishop Grandin Boulevard will be closing after its owner has decided to retire.
For the last 15 years, the bowling alley has been run by the Turner family and become a staple in the community. The bowling alley has seen its frequent bowlers grow up over the years, who have also almost become an extended family to the Turners.
An auction with equipment from the bowling alley will take place on June 19.
The building space will be transformed into a credit union in October.
Bowlers in the area still looking to continue their pastime can find the nearby Dakota Bowling Centre.
