Researchers from the University of Manitoba are sharing their insight on issues about the safety and supply of the food we consume.
“Food We Eat” will be a speaker series hosted by U of M president and vice-chancellor David Barnard on Wednesday evening.
Speakers include Ryan Cardwell of the Faculty of Agricultural & Food Sciences, Rick Holley of the Faculty of Agricultural & Food Sciences, Joyce Slater of Faculty of Human Ecology, and Shirley Thompson of the Faculty of Environment, Earth and Resources.
“This series of conversations featuring some of the best minds nurtured at the University of Manitoba builds on our tradition of excellence, innovation and global influence,” Barnard said. “The ideas generated will contribute to efforts in finding solutions to challenges faced by our province and its citizens.”
The event will take place in the Robert B. Schultz Theatre at St. John’s College on the U of M’s Fort Garry campus from 7-8:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend can RSVP to government_community@umanitoba.ca.
