Twenty-nine riders will hop on a big bicycle today to pedal their way through the streets of Winnipeg in support of a meaningful cause.
The Manitoba Lotteries Heart and Stroke Foundation Big Bike raises funds for life-saving research, health promotion and advocacy programs in Manitoba.
The 30-foot-long bike carries more than 150 feet of bicycle chain and sees over 12,000 kilometres each year.
The bike will be out over the next three days between The Forks and Manitoba legislature.

Wednesday, June 20 – The Forks Market Plaza
1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Ride will start at The Forks site, go down Waterfront Drive, and back to The Forks.
Thursday, June 21 – Manitoba Legislative Building, south lawn
11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ride will start at the Legislative Building site, go down Assiniboine Avenue, up Edmonton Street to York Avenue, to Garry Street, down Broadway and back to the Legislative Building.
Friday, June 22 – Manitoba Legislative Building, south lawn
11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ride will start at the Legislative Building site, go down Assiniboine Avenue, up Edmonton Street to York Avenue, to Garry Street, down Broadway and back to the Legislative Building.
