IKEA has started the hiring process to fill 300 positions at its first Winnipeg store.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Swedish furniture giant said it is launching a major recruitment campaign to support the new 390,000-square-foot store at the corner of Kenaston Boulevard and Sterling Lyon Parkway.
“We are happy to be in a position to develop exciting new employment opportunities in the Winnipeg market,” said Winnipeg store manager Stephen Bobko. “IKEA offers a great working environment and is known for its competitive compensation and benefits for both full and part time co-workers as well as providing many opportunities for career development.”

The store is slated to open late this fall.
