Arrest Made in Lynn Lake Church Fire

RCMP have made an arrest in an arson that destroyed the Anglican Church in Lynn Lake, Manitoba early Monday morning.

Ivan Robin Ballantyne-Sewap, 20, is facing arson and break and enter charges.

RCMP say the fire to the church caused in excess of $200,000.

Firefighters also dealt with a number of smaller fire around the community on the same day. These fires caused minimal damage to the structures and are reported to be also arson-related.

Ballantyne-Sewap, a resident of Lynn Lake, is due in Thompson court on Thursday.
