Community Centres Receive Grants for Renovations

Seventeen Winnipeg community centres are the first to receive funding under the city’s Community Centre Renovation Grant Program (CCRG).

The program provides up to $965,000 in annual funding to community centres for repairs, upgrades, retrofits, safety improvements and renovation projects. Applicants are eligible for 100% support of project costs to a maximum of $50,000 per project per calendar year.

$560,000 will be dispersed to the centres for renovations under the first intake.

The community centres to receive funding are Central, Chalmers, Glenwood, Heritage Victoria, Luxton, Maples, Melrose Park, North Kildonan, Northwood, Notre Dame, Park City West, Roblin Park, Tuxedo, Waverley Heights, Westdale, Wildwood, and Windsor.
